Lakemoor Alpacas

In 2015 we welcomed our first 2 alpacas and their babies (cria) to Lakemoor Farm! 
We now have a larger herd of lovely alpacas who help with our experiences and adoptions, as well as produce lovely cria for you to meet, and of course we use their wonderful fleece in craft kits, workshops, luxury bedding, socks and other products.

In 2016, we put on white coats and stepped out into the show ring for the first time. Our alpacas have visited several alpaca shows, including Devon County Show, winning a number of rosettes.

We are based in South Devon close to the market town of Ashburton and the wonderful Buckfast Abbey in the foothills of Dartmoor.

Meet the alpacas and learn more about these fascinating animals, walk an alpaca on a lead rein around the farm and enjoy a homemade Devon cream tea. 

Adopt an alpaca and follow the life of your chosen alpaca. Our alpacas are friendly and easy to handle. They have an inquisitive nature, although can be nervous, and often come close. They rarely spit or kick.  

A voucher makes the perfect gift for someone special to visit our farm and experience these wonderful animals and glorious views, or alternatively attend a crafting workshop to create your very own handcrafted animal, picture or brooch.
